Today, the children experienced writing a story in Te Reo Maori to celebrate Maori Language Week. As a class we read the story Te Taniwha me te Poraka. This is a story about a sneaky Taniwha behind a frog. The children all participated in reading the story especially the parts that repeatedKia tupato, Poraka (Be careful Frog)

I have displayed Phoebe's story about Te Rakiraki me Te Ngeru (The duck and the cat). She illustrated the pictures on the ActiveBoard. The children are learning to read their stories. Hopefully by the end of the week, they can share it with their families.
