Superhero Dance
An Assembly to Remember
Well done on the Principal's Award!Today Room 8 led assembly with confidence and style. Thank you to Joshua K and Zanthe H with thier great leadership during assembly. I was very pleased with your loud and clear voices. Ka pai.
Also thank you to Olivia B, Bianca H, Bowen H and Madeline H who presented a reflective prayer about God's creation and the seasons.

Phoebe R, Brooke C, Emma H-F, Hunter R and Jonty W presented a wonderful dance to the song 'Jesus you're my superhero'. They practised one afternoon and although they were nervous, danced and prayed with confidence. Tumeke!
The Orca
The Orca
One day there was an enormous killer whale swimming with his pod of friends Toto and Momo. They raced around the sea.
The angry silly killer whale was gliding through the water, then snap! He’s caught a helpless overweight seal. He rips the seal apart into tiny pieces and that’s the end of the seal. Then he floats off away through the dark deep blue sea to find his next prey.
The silly killer whale was still floating round with his friends and then suddenly a beach ball came out from the beach. A thick seal goes to get it, snap! The killer whale plays with the beach ball and then chucks the beach ball fiercely onto the shore.

The Killer Whale

The Killer Whale
The enormous brightly coloured black and white killer whale works in pods and is cunning, quick and fierce. He can leap out of the high waters, and land directly on its prey, not killing it but training itself by throwing the prey up in the air and catching it with the tip of the amazing killer whales nose.
The shiny black and white killer whale doesn’t harm the seal but brings it back to the shore; no one knows why all the rest he caught he ate.
The big killer whale could scare anything with his beady eyes and scary skills. Most seals don’t like going in the sea.

Triathlon Success
Last Thursday, many witnessed the superb effort of Room 8 in the OLA Triathlon.
We had so many top finishers, I lost count. Another area where Room 8 will rule supreme.
This was not a fluke, however fantastic determination and grit from the Room 8 students in their regular practises.
I was continually impressed with the children as they brought all the correct gear and their enthusiasm to try their best regularly.
Here are some photos of the children practising for the triathlon.

Well done Room 8 for your top effort in the triathlon.
You made Mister A proud!!

In Room 8 we try to always have fun.
The best learning occurs when we are enthusiastic and enjoying ourselves.
You can be the judge to see if Room 8 are enthusiastic and enjoying themselves.
